Thanksgiving Fun (in pics)

is it thanksgiving yet?

hey everyone. just 3 more days until thanksgiving and i can't wait! i only eat a real homecooked meal twice a year on thanksgiving & new years day. yeah, i can't cook, but i'mma learn oneday. lol. i'm riding off to south carolina on thursday morning and i'm making sure i pack my elastic band pants. don't act like i'm the only one that do that! (rule #1: never wear fitted jeans on thanksgiving b/c it won't be cute to have to unbutton your pants at the table). :-P

anyhoo, i had a fabulous weekend. i got to see my new favorite artist, rahbi, perform at the apache cafe on saturday (google him). the event was called "strange fruit II". rahbi has different artist perform as some of his most insprirational artists like tevin campbell (that was my boo in the 6th grade lol), missy elliot, vanity 6, prince, and gospel artist karen clark sheard.

i had to go since i missed it last year. yall it was so good! they had this white guy be like the MC and he was so funny. he dressed up as a gamma from "school daze" and did an excerpt. he also did a poem called "i don't usually curse, but i'm the muthafuckin shit!". it was so good. i think thats gonna be my new motto. lol. then, 3 girls performed the song from school daze "i don't wanna be alone tonight". man, i love that movie. :-)

now it really got wild when some chicks performed as vanity 6. they came out in see through lingerie and a thong! i almost got elbowed in the head because the dudes act like they ain't never seen butt cheeks before! i ain't never seen a grown azz man salivating until that night. i guess that how guys at in the strip club. while they were performing "nasty girls", dudes started throwing dollars on the stage. it was crazy. lol.

anyhoo, it was good. rahbi gonna have an album release party there dec 15th so i'mma try to make that.

in other news, i still love my digicam!

another birthday, another week

so my 28th birthday was monday. yikes!! i'm getting old! i didn't do anything on monday because that is my longest day of school. i mean i don't get out of class until 10pm! after a long day, i just like to go home and fall into the bed. i got alot of phone calls & text messages wishing me a happy bday and my dad bought me a digi cam. i've been reminding him that i wanted a digi cam for my bday since july! i better had got it. lol. anyway, my guy friend took me out to eat & a movie for my bday. i decided that it was a great time to play with my cam. :-)

school: its going aiight. i had an accounting test on thursday. we'll see how i did next class. a girl got carjacked at georgia state's parking deck this week. 2 black guys robbed her at gun point and then made her drive them to 2 atm's to give them money. they let her go after they got the money and she ran to the police.

okay, i'm glad that didn't happen to me because i would've been shot! i remember watching oprah, and they were saying NEVER go with them to a second location because its a higher possiblity that you will end up missing or dead. my yellow azz would have not got in the car! i would have threw my keys and ran out of there zigzag out that mug! lol.

work: same bull, different day. one of my co-workers told me that this gay guy at his other job was braggin to everyone how he slept with ne-yo. apparently, the gay guy had met ne-yo at the gas station and from there they went to the hotel and had sex. i asked my co-worker how you know he not lyin & he said that the guy doesn't lie on his d**k. i guess it could happen..who knows.

date life: what date life? lol. i actually met a guy at the malcolm jamal-warner concert that i wrote about in my last blog. we met in the line while i was trying to get his autograph. we chit chatted in the line and he told me he was 37. he asked me if he was too old & i told him its cool because he doesn't look 37.

however, when he called me a few days later he admitted that he was really 40 years old. now yall he was cute and looked younger than that, but i don't like guys who lie. thats not a good way to start to get to know someone. i just saw red flags all over the place. how do i know he's not lying about how many kids he has or if he's married or not? we all know that little white lies turn into big lies.

anyhoo, i'm done rambling. i'mma try to start taking alot more pics. i'm just mad i have to buy more batteries already! geez!
